Minister Tonio Fenech gave details in parliament of the number of new businesses that have opened during the period January to June 2010. The Lotteries and Gaming Authority have reported 43 applications for new businesses in Malta. The Lotteries and Gaming Authority is a single regulatory body that is responsible for the governance of all gaming activities in Malta including Amusement Machines, Broadcasting Media games, Casinos, Commercial Bingo Halls, Commercial Communication games, Horse racing, the National lottery, Non-Profit games and Remote Gaming.
