TD&A NEWS: Participation at Malta Conference onTravel & Tourism

Dr Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall, partner at Advocates, Tanti-Dougall & Associates, has participated at the Malta Conference organised by the Institute of Travel & Tourism [ITT]. The Conference which was held between 2nd and 4th June, 2014, at Hilton Malta  St Julians, was well attended by some 400 participants including major international players in the travel and tourism industry such as TUI, lastminute.com and Thomas Cook. The Conference was also addressed by Malta's Minister of Tourism, Edward Zammit Lewis as well as UK's Minister of Sport, Tourism & Equalities, Helen Grant.

Many and varied topics relative to the travel and tourism industry were addressed and discussed by the numerous guest speakers, including online retail sales, airport capacity crisis and increasing global competition.

Advocates, Tanti-Dougall & Associates which is based in Valletta, Malta offers clients, in particular corporate clients, both locally and abroad, various professional services relating to the travel and tourism industry, in particular, drafting of tourism laws and advice thereon, health & safety for the hospitality industry including risk assessments in line with EU legislation, as well as security matters from the hotel premises to the airport emergency plan. Indeed, Advocates, Tanti-Dougall was responsible for the drafting of the Malta International Airport's emergency plan.
